Step 5 - Agency owner sends proposal

I’d like to introduce myself and tell you about how all this came to be.

My name is Cole.

You may not have heard that name before. That’s by design.

My life’s pretty good…I have a beautiful wife and a baby girl.

I was originally born in India, but my family moved to Vancouver, Canada, when I was 10 years old.

It was just after my 23rd birthday… and unfortunately, things had gone terribly wrong.

I was making no money… and my wife was supporting us on her income alone.

A few months before this, I was working in door to door sales, leading a team of 22 people and making over $250,000 per year.

I Ended Up With A 9-5 Job At An Insurance Company And Soon Realized That I Hated It…

I hated it because I knew if I stayed there - that job would become my identity and all my hopes, goals and dreams would be put aside to fulfilling my role in that job.

I had goals, dreams and aspirations...I wanted more out of life...

...and selling my life to a giant corporation at 40 hours a week wasn't going to work.

So I did what everyone else out there does in this situation.

I started looking for a way out.

I looked everywhere and a few months later I found it.

I stumbled upon an event that was running in Los Angeles, teaching “Digital Marketing”.

The event was sharing the latest strategies you could use to help businesses get customers online.

The event was run by a successful agency owner, who was traveling the world, while making more money than I could imagine by selling their marketing services.

This was a cool concept to me, and as I researched more and more I found that most of the people who attended these events were freelancers that worked for digital agencies.

I didn't have the skills to be a "freelancer".

I mean… I didn’t have any marketing skills at all

So I decided to just create my own digital agency.

I had no idea how to run ads or do marketing at the time, but that was ok since I found a few freelancers who could do the services for me.

All I had to do was know how to sell the service.

And that’s when my door to door sales days came in handy.
